Steve, As you know I Love my Bear hunting and I wish I did not have to travel out of state. I've killed several P&Y Bears and one that just missed B&C.
On a couple of the nicer Bears I got I setup on a trail leading to the Bait. The oldest Bear I have killed was aged at 28.5 years old. When they get that old they are not Dummies but.................
Maybe he was getting a little Senile
Beaver is a favorite of Big Bears. If you can get some I'd tease him with it and try to pull him in before dark.

I've heard other people say the same about beaver being there favorite food but yet have I had it work that well for me. The last 2 years 70% of our meat was beaver. It didn't make much difference it seemed, if any at all. Thanks anyway Dan and great work on getting them P&Y bear.
