Not likely, if there are three or four toms with hens you might get one to peel off but not just one. Forget about the toms and work the hens. Calling aggressively has worked well for me in these situations. I have found that the more racket I make seems to get one of the hens irritated and she will call back to you, then you got em. If you get a hen to answer you call right back to her exactly as she called to you, more often than not she will come over to check you out and the gobbler will follow. I hunt merriams in western SD and it seems to work on them and it also seemed to work well on easterns in KS.
