Get the hook out. If a fish is hooked deep into the mouth, anywhere, there is a great chance of the fish dying regardless. Many people release fish that end up dying no matter what, even though some swim away in a breeze.

On a side note, if you were in a river system with trout in it, it is a good thing to take as many pike out of there as possible, they eat an extreme amount of trout per day.
