JMO, it sounds like the poundage is set at 40... IDK what kind of Frame you have, but 30lbs really isnt that much, Take it to a shop and have them put it on a scale...

were you there when they set it up? i assume not, but anyway, ireally honestlythink you could handle 30lbs.... but as said before your using a completly different set of muscles. Good luck and Congrats on your new bow, It looks great.
