Should have just cut the line, i don't care how much a piece of tackle is worth, it ain't worth killing a baby fish your not gonna keep and eat. I caught a small Walleye one day, about 18 inches and wasn't going to keep it as i knew there were bigger ones to catch. The Treble hook was caught in its mouth and i was having a very hard time getting it out. i knew if i didn't hurry the fish would die so i just cut the line and lost my lure and steel leader and such. Cost me about $15 in tackle but it was worth it to save the lil fishies life
