i dont mind a red dot, the only thing i dont like about them is the battery factor??? but then again i dont know much about red dot scopes maybe that iosnt much of a problem.......actually my mother had a red dot scope on her 308 she shot her moose w/
tracking deer in close quarters shooting i wouldnt want anything else then a peepsight or irons. plus, it sometimes i think some guns carry weird w/ a scope on them.
Yeah i hear ya Sky, i always carry an extra battery with me just in case. Def. in close quarters i'd rather use iron sights, found that out on my doe last year, i shot her at 10 yards, it was a little diffcult to try to focus on the dot with your first deer 10 yards in front of you getting ready to run
