I live in a suburb near Corona, Ca. our home is in a housing unit of about 40 homes that is located in the County, we have a 8ft block wall around our backyard....and I wanted to have that same question answered about a year ago...I faxed the Riverside County Sherriff and told them where I lived, and told them what I wanted to do, and that was create a 35yrd range in my backyard...on the same letter I faxed to them they faxed me a letter back stating that it was OK to to that...and it was signed with the deputies badge number on the letter; because if for some reason a crusier shows up at my house I have it in writing, and there is never a argument at that point.
