It was a fat 6 pt, we had actually saw him over the summer. It was the 3rd buck that camepast methat morning, I gut shot him at 6-8 yds.A lot of mistakes were made after that and I didn't find him until the smell led me there. I had walked within a few FEET of him during the initial search. I can say that I am a better hunter after going thru that ordeal and haven't lost one since.
