Default RE: spiderwire or power pro?

All depends ..what kind of structure is in the river?..if it's open water..I'd go 10 - pound momo..set the drag and have fun..

There seems to be 2 different types of Power Pro..the older kind was very similiar to Spider Wire I like the older kind..and neckto neck..I'd go with Power Pro...the new kind has a waxy residue on it..and it stinks..The smallest back lash will cost you the entire spool.I just got done cutting off 10 dollars worth...I replaced it with 14 pound Suffix. I haven't fished with Suffix yet but just got done making a few cast in the driveway. So far I'm pretty impressed. Lays nicely on the spool and not one backlash..I still keep a couple of spools of Power Pro 20 pound test for flipping and pitching in heavy cover on my spinning reels so I can store than for next year's spawn..I've now got mono on all my baitcasters..and spin casters.

Summary..If your going to be bumping a rubber worm..I'd try the Suffix momo out . It's about $9.00 for 330 yds..10 pound should be fine..I diffently wouldn't go bigger than 12...I love Trilene XL Clear but not for bumping a worm..It has too much memory { The twirls in the line} Suffix is known to have very little memory.I think I'm going to like it..
