How many times during PEAK RUT have you been driving away after a morning hunt to see deer chasing across a wide open field? I've seen some of the larger bucks in my life like this, and without a tree within .5 mile.

During the rut/pre it can happen at any time. Other times of the year I focus less on the all day thing.
