I'm thinking 2.5x is too much on the low end, with that there are less options....

vx-7 1.5-6
vx-iii 1.5-5
1.75-6
vx-ii 2-7 (didn't want anything less than vx-iii quality)

Z6 1.7-10

open to other scopes as well....looking for somethign of some quality of course. I'm considering spending the cash on something very nice....seems whenever I want a scope they don't make what I want....though usually the most expensive seem to make it....

I think on a hunt where 300-500yds is called for I wouldn't be bring this rifle, but if a shot presented itself while using this rifle sure I'd take it, if I were confident, knew the drops etc...just figuring this to be the 300yd and under rifle.
