I said 300 meaning I really don't think I'd take one past that, though agreed 200yds would probably be the typical long shot...., with 300 meant it won't be a 500yd gun.

Also past 200/300 I think a .338 starts to overtake it....but I think a 300yd shot can be done without much worry and still have quite a bit of energy.
