Make sure your safe is not visible when the garage door is open.
Bolt your safe to the garage floor.
I would use the goldenrod to keep the humidity under control but it depends where you live. If you are in Arizona maybe the silica is sufficient. but if you have a power outlet near your safe, just use the rod.
I agree and that's my professional LE opinion.
I would agree with this but add the caveat that if the owner lives in a northern climate like mine in Michigan, I'd try to get at least some layer of insulation either under the safe where it's bolted, or some form of insulation and heat source on the inside bottom of the safe. Really coold concrete and metal don't create the besst combo for storing wood and metal guns.

I guess that's why I've never considered long term gun storage in my garage in Michigan.
