Default RE: Opinions on Magnus Broadheads

I use the Nugent blades 125gr. I have for the last 5 years. Love em!! I've killed a bunch of deer with them. I think for some they may take a little work to get to fly really well, because without vent holes in the blades they will try and steer more. They do fly great out of my bow, but my bow is properly tuned. As far as penetration, they are fantastic. I shot a doe a couple seasons ago completely through the shoulders(bone) with a 63lb set up(compound). I have gotten complete pass throughs about 95% if the time. Another thing I like is the fact that you shoot one, pick up your arrow, clean it off and resharpen it, and shoot another. I've killed as many as 3 with the same broadhead. And just as a bonus, they are only about $22 for 6. With the cost of everything these days, I like that.
Anyhow, as you can see, I am very pleased with them. I realize there are alot of good heads out there. I used to shoot muzzy's and they are super also. But now I am partial to the nugents (magnus) based on my experience. I like the idea that if I do happen to make a marginal shot (like in the shoulder blade) it will slice right through and into the vitals, versus taking a chance of stopping in the bone, and maybe losing the animal. That is what sold me. Good luck!!
