I think a .338 is a great elk round...

Moose I think I'd like to use a .375

any.300-375 I think would be a fine cartridge for elk/moose. But for elk and bigger, I'd say .338+ would be ideal.
Just curious... I thought the general consensus was that elk are tougher to kill than moose (even though the moose is a tad bigger). Why .338 for the one that's tougher to kill, and .375 for the one that's easier to kill?
