Default RE: What best describes you?

ORIGINAL: Schultzy

Why so many bows Jim? I've always wondered why some people have so many trad bows they hunt with. No knock on you one bit but wouldn't it be easier to get use to just shooting and hunting with the same bow?
I ask myself that every day as I question the sanity of myself having 6 bows. Funny thing is, they all shoot different spines. Actually 2 of them shoot the same. I shoot 1916, 1816, 2016, and 2018 alums, and 55lb cedars, along with 5575 carbons. I got arrows coming out my ears.

Actually, I want to really get into this selfbow scene. I think it would be really satisfying harvesting game with everything primitive that I and I alone made. tips, cane, sinew pine pitch, animal glue, the whole thing

I have just started my second selfbow, and just identified a pignut hickory to harvest in a few months, and let the staves dry for winter. Somebody, please stop me. I am out of control. Seriously however, this bow is going to be for my son. Sure he has 5-7 years before he can shoot it. But its going to be a 25lb osage.

But your 110% correct, just not wired that way. Wish I was. Always looking for something else.
