Default RE: insulated boots what gramm

I would think 400 or 800 would be ideal for your situation.

I'm up here in northern IL, depending on what you're doing....early season....vs late season treestand.....

any boot tends to be warm when you're walking around, but when you stop to sit for hrs and hrs.....

Get some 800s, gun season....also get some liner socks.....and maybe leave enough room for some warm socks, but also w/o big socks make them fit.....avoid the big socks, that make em super tight, that doesnt help any either. I"m plagued with cold feet, if I'm moving im fine, but I stop, poor circulation to my feet, not sure what the problem is.....but if I'm sitting in a room they're cold very cold already. One trick is I carry my big socks with me, to the stand, otherwise my feet will be sweating on the walk out there, then put them on after a bit.

Also battery powered socks......
