Default RE: vaccum sealers for venison

I use one aswell. I have the vacuum sealer made by Rival and it seems to be a great unit. I have been using it for about a year now. Great idea about resealing potato chips. I would have never thought of that.

Usually when I use mine it is to freeze left overs, like this sunday I wanted to smoke some ribs. Instead of smoking one set of ribs I did two. I also put on two whole chickens. My wife and I ate about half a rack of ribs then I vacuum sealed the rest in portions for dinner and work lunch portions. Then they go into the freezer. When I want smoked ribs I either put them in the fridge the day prior or thaw in water for about an hour. Then into the microwave. I leave them in the sealed bag when I nuke them and it steams them. Works great and saves time during the week when I am really busy.
