Deer and elk have become so tough to kill over the last few years I have had to switch my aresenal around a bit as well.I now only use a .30-378 Weatherby for deer and my trusty .338 Lapua Mag for elk. I have recently heard that deer and elk are building immunity to these rounds as well!



Seriously though, either will do the trick but the 300 WSM might be a little better suited for the larger stuff. Having said that IMO a 7mm Remington Mag or the 300 Win Mag would be better choices than the WSM rounds.
