If the range is going to be for your own practice, then the thread the needle shots may be fun BUT I doubt that you want to keep them that way for too long, you will undoubtedly either break a few arrows or end up sticking them in the wood.

If it were my range, I would put the smaller targets out at 25yards and beyond. The larger targets would be 35-50 yards.

You want the distance to be significant enough that you NEED to make a good shot. That is what will make you a better archer.

After shooting at targets 45yards and beyond, a 20 yard shot is not even a challenge.

The ultra short yardage targets 2-3 yards can be helpful just to figure out which pin you need to use (hint, use your longer yardage pins) After you get that figured out, it really is not much of a challenge anymore.
