This is going to sound like a strange question, but as the turkey was running off, which way was the broadhead sticking out of the bird... his left or his right?
Not a stupid question..Becuase depending on which way the arrow was, and whether or not it was point down or there was alot of brush on the side of the head, it is likely that in his "travels" the head become unscrewed while bumping up against objects.
Too bad I didn't see this earlier, DropTine... the "Admiral" said I had to get off the computerand go clothes shopping[:@][:@]for my wardrobe to start my new job Monday.
Droptine,
I never said it was a "stupid" question... just a strange one. You're right, though. That's what I was thinking when I asked the question. If the broadhead was sticking out of the left side of the turkey as it ran away and the blades weren't closed, it could have easily come unscrewed.
