Default RE: Henry rifles

My dad has a marlin, has had it for many years in fact it was the gun I learned to shoot with over 30 years ago. Nice gun no doubt. I used to have one of the basic henry .22's and it was a great gun as well. The only thing I didn't like about it was the plastic barrel ring, other than that it was a really nice gun. Decent trigger and an ultra smooth action. And it is probably one of the most accurate .22's I have owned out of the box. I sold it to a guy at work so I could buy a 17HMR and I sort of wish I would have kept it. I only payed $190 for mine at walmart though, I don't know what they cost now.

If you can afford the marlin, it is better quality gun and will hold its value better, but there is nothing wrong with the Henry I really enjoyed mine.
