Default RE: tree stand theft

SJhunter does leaving the stand in the tree give this hunter some jurisdiction over the site as it seems he would be reserving the area for himself. And it is public land' suppose I want to hunt from the same tree, what gives him the right to claim this tree as his own for the season and leave a stand there he will not be using everyday. There is a hanging stand 50 yds from where I hunt and its been there for 3 years, and I know no one has hunted from it. That makes it a permanent stand in my book. Just my opinion that no one should be entitled to leave a stand at the end of the day if he or she does not intend to use it the next day'
