RE: .357 mag lever action for deer?
Accuracy out to 100 yards may not be a problem, but the lethality of a .357 at that range is somewhat questionable. Everything I've read says you should keep shots within bow range. Personally, I think that means 50 yards and maybe 75 is seriously stretching it. As far as the soft points, they may be the most accurate out of your rifle, but if you're going to hunt deer with it you should look into shooting a hard cast bullet like what Buffalo Bore has to offer... http://www.buffalobore.com/ammunition/default.htm
