I'm somewhat surprised that so many folks here are actually listing cheap, mass produced plastic sounding pot style calls as their favs! [:-]
My question is, have any of you that are mentioning these calls ever tried a quality custom call such as Wood Haven, Cody, American Friction, Bud&Betty ??? These calls take your calling authenticity to a whole new level. They produce TRUE turkey sounds that simply can't be reproduced on the cheap plastic mass produced calls. The ONLY time any of your birds have ever heard calls this realistic..... they were being made by a REAL HEN.
To many of you that have not tried any calls of this caliber, do yourself a favor and check out one or two of them by next season and see and hear the difference for yourself. Good luck and good huntin'
A lot of us on here arevery happy withour "cheap,mass produced" calls. If they are calling in and killing birds year after year why spend the extra money and get a custom call?? And i wouldnt say that cody is too much of a custom call anymore......they sell it at my wal-mart
