I' ve had great luck with Hornady bullets in many different cartridge/rifle combinations. I' ve only used their Light Mag factory ammo once, in a .308 Win Ruger M77 RSI. They didn' t group all that well so I ended up going with Federal Premium on that elk hunt.

Afterward, it occured to me that if I needed something extra in the way of horsepower, I was probably not too bright trying to turn an 18 1/2" barreled .308 into a 22" barreled .30-06. The next day I took my .270 Wby Mag into the woods and made a nice one-shot kill on a 6-pt bull at 225 yards. [X(]

And never once did I have to worry about THAT cartridge/rifle/bullet (150gr Nosler Partition) combination being able to do any I job I needed it to do.
