Default Understanding the importance of every shot...

Called in this morning to the archery club where I competed at last Saturday to find out how my 306 stacked up...

I had carded like 8 ouit of 11 x's on the final stretch at that shoot, and came to target number 30. I had my yardage dialed in, and proceeded to just fluff the last shot. Not sure where it went wrong, but I pulled it to high and to the left -- JUST outside the 10 ring on a warthog.

Extremely angry, I immediately reached into my quiver and didn't change a thing for yardage -- just bore down on the 11-ring and proceeded to absolutely pinwheel it. I mean, I couldn't have walked up and stuck it into the middle of it any more perfectly. So with that one shot I went from finishing with a 309 to a 306. [:@]

The lady who runs the shop politely told me that third place was a 307, second place was a 308 and first was a 312.From a solid second to finishing off the podium in one split second.

Great.
