Default RE: Any good barrel cleaning tips?

Absolutely! Get yourself a cleaning rod and cut the handle off of it. I wouldn't go out and get a $40 Dewey rod for this because it'll only be used for your shotgun after you cut the handle off. Anyway, after you cut the handle off put a brass brush on it. Take a patch and put some "Non-Embedding JB Bore Paste" on the patch. Wrap that around the brass brush and then chuck the rod into a drill. Use an old choke when running the drill/cleaning rod so you don't nick the threads. Go slow and don't stay in one spot for too long. You can't really hurt your barrel by doing this. Be sure to polish the throat and forcing cone area really well. Not only will you have a mirror finish in your barrel but I'd bet that it'll pattern better as well. Good luck! Simp
