I think a seperation of "hunting" cows and just shooting cow to kill them is being made here.
It's not a hunt by any stretch. But if the thing is going to die, who cares if its from a 22 between the lookers, or a muzzy thru the lungs. Either way you're eating hamburger. mmmm hamburgers

But I think a few other things should be debated first:

Can we use mechnicals?
Do we need a 70# bow?
Can we shoot one if we have a WB on our bow?
Are there any wrong answers to this thread?
