As far as hunting boots I am on my second pair of Danner andbought the canadians -love them! The air bob sole is both comfortable for hoofing it and provides excellent traction for my usage. My first pair of Danners lasted 10 year and so far these show no signs of needing replacement after 4 years of hard use. Gortex bootie, 600grams of thinsulate and light considering an all leather boot. I will warn you though they are a little stiff to start off and shouldn't be worn out hunting the first time. Wear them in the shop, yard or house a little to break in and you'll have happy feet. Once they have a little break in time they are a comfortable boot.
Irecently replaced my old redwing work boots with a pair of Danner Tinners. I wore them around the shop a little to break in but now have had them on my feet for over a month and really like them. Both are a good boot, redwing has more selection then danner but I wanted a Gortex Bootie without insul. and found the danners to be the better fit.
Get your feet in some different boots then deciede.
