That's just it though. Get into a debate about deer hunting with an anti and you will probably hear something like this:

I look atdeer as pretty animals that look look like Bambi. Now granted that is probably because I have no real first hand knowledge of adeer, only pictures, tv, and the movies. So to me that is what I think of when I think of a deer, bambi, and because of that I have no interest in hunting/shooting one.

The only difference is that you say you wouldn't want to ban giraffe hunting. The real question is: Would you fight just as hard to maintain giraffe hunting (or Ostrich hunting)as you would to maintain deer hunting ?
