A harvestable deer on our property is usually at least an 8 and never under the age of 2.5 years old. Where we live bucks rarely get to 4.5-5.5 years old so we're not to the point yet of harvesting geneteically inferior deer. We also try to make an effort in doe harvests to harvest does out a wide array of age classes in order to keep the age structure balacned.
A shooter buck would be a buck that I want to shoot.
Clearly. I think the post is referring to whether or there is a restriction as to point number, size or age class in the area in which you hunt.
