Hey txhunter, your mention of Patrick McManus brought back some memories and caused me to dig some of his books out of the closet for a re-read. They are all compilations of his short stories and magazine articles: They Shoot Conoes, Don't They, Real Ponies Don't Go OINK!, The Night The Bear Ate Goombaw, The Grasshopper Trap, andRubber Legs and White Tail-Hairs.If any of you guys haven't read his stuff, you should ask you local library to get them for you. He's one of the funniest outdoor writers ever.
