Is everyone too busy flirting to realize that Hawaii isn't a foreign country?

I've never been outside of the states. Had many opportunties through old boyfriends, but turned them all down. I'm fluent in French and speak a bit of German, but have no desire to visit either country except to tour WWII battlefields, and that isn't enough to drive me to go. Not only do I hate to fly, I hate yuppies who tour to every country in Europe, Africa, etc. and expect THEM to all speak English. Hello? You're in THEIR country moron. You should be speaking THEIR language. Wasn't prepared to learn it? Don't go.
