There are more then 4 iterations of the weatherby vanguard and each will have a difference in felt recoil providing they all way the same. This is a mountain being made out of a mole hill.Use the recoil calculator and yes different rifles will handle the same cartridge differently. a 6 3/4 lb Kimber montain chambered in 300 wsm actually has less felt recoil then a heavier 300 wsm riflle even though the recoil calculator says it shouldn't. It is "FELT" recoil and is interpreted by humans differently.
Yes sir, I understand all of that. But, since the original post said he was looking at a Weatherby Vanguard Synthetic/Stainless, which is chambered for all three of the cartridges being discussed, I thought that the variation resulting from stock design would be eliminated. You had said there were four different constructions of Vanguard stocks and I was asking, since I don't know, whether you meant that there are multiple constructions of the synthetic stock. Not trying to be argumentative, just trying to learn...
