I used to stay pretty low-- about 10-12'. I had a 44" ATA bow and I found out the painful way that on a sharp downward shot, some bad string slap can occur. [:-]

Now with my dinky bow, I like to be about 16-20' up. If I mess up setting the platform of the climber, I'll be higher or lower.
