I"m overwhelmed with pride, to announce that I, Lyuv, did it. I found a new and innovative stupid thing to do with a crossbow.

Sticking fingers above track level, has been known for centuries. Dry firing is still being done, but is rather lame. For countless years no one could find something new. That is, untill today.

I was in a practice session. Cocking the CB with a cocking rope, releasing the hooks, placing an arrow, aiming, firing and doing it all over again. All was well untill the world exploded when I pulled the trigger.

A thunder ripped the reality to million fragments of pain. At first I was sure the Iranians did it. Then things cleared a little, and I settled with being ran over by a combine. Only when I came to my senses, did I realize the truth.

After cocking, I released only ONE of the hooks. The rope was left hooked on one end, and running around the stock. As I fired, the loose end, armed with wood handle, brass pulley and steel hook (!) went flying and whipping everything within a yard.

No matter how grim my prognosis is, I made my mark on history. Let it be known as the “Yuv lash”.
