Default RE: I still say turkeys are tougher than deer

We need a stats man here, figure out the succes rate based on time scouting, time hunting, who really takes both on the same way...etc. Dont forget location, we all know thats the main factor!

I would say that i have hunted about 50% of the TOTAL time of the season over the last 4 years of my career, which is reasonable for both. Now personally i have killed 5 deer and 3 turkeys. I have just two months for deer and one month of turkey hunting. This puts me at .042 deer per huntingday and .050 turkeys per hunting day. Now for convenience sake, i would say that my scouting time is split for both deer and turkey with around 5 months break between my two seasons. BUTI failed to take into consideration that i can only hunt turkeys until noon which cuts my days in half putting me at .025 turkeys perhunting day. I have been pursuing both of these for the same amount of time so i would say that i have equal amount of skills between the two. Also i hunt both primarily in the same woods.

Just as i suspected, turkeys ARE harder!
