I have an older Martin with an anodized finish that will never come off, though it doesn' t look at good as the new finishes. My newer Martin has lost the film dip, on several spots, but I just touch it up with some " hobby enamal paints" . I blend my own camo colors and put it on to match the original pattern, the best I can. It has worked quite well and the touched up areas are very durable. Not a big deal in my eyes.
