I hear you i know alot of people that did the same thing. they're a little slow to figure out that it wasnt the pcg but there own actions and others like them that caused the whole mess
It amazes me that hunters are still blaming other hunters for reducing the herd after 7 years of listening to the PGC blaming hunters for allowing the herd to increase . The PGC is responsible for managing the herd and the hunters are responsible for following the regulations and implementing the management plan implemented by the PGC.
Very few hunters own enough land to effectively manage the herd and it is illogical to expect individual to manage the herd when they have no control over what other hunters do in the same area.
The plan to reduce the herd by 5% was based solely on the carrying capacity of forested habitat and made no allowance for the increased carrying capacity of fragmented forests. Therefore, it was gross mismanagement.
