While I agree with it for a general rule of thumb we have sheds from a buck that proves other wise. Not that it means anything in the great scheme of things.
TJF.. well you know how mother nature is.. not everything is is exact.. it's just a general rule of thumb by nearly every biologist.. but you have to always take things like this statement with a grain of salt.. you really do.

With whitetails I always takethem with a grain of salt. Makes them a bit more tastier.
I do agree with your statement and don't see a big change after 4.5 years old rackwise here. This buck is an odd ball in this reguard.
