You had quoted this in another post...

if you really believe the antlers come of a 4.5 yr old deer.. you must also realize most whitetails grow 90% of their inches by age 4.5 yrs. and about 95% of their total weight
While I agree with it for a general rule of thumb we have sheds from a buck that proves other wise. Not that it means anything in the great scheme of things.

I had the sheds out remeasuring them to see how much he gained from 4.5 to 5.5 for funsy after reading your reply of the quote above. I measured themwith my favorite tape which I've had for years that was lost last fall but veryrecently found. Lifewas good at this point as I really missed using this tape for shed season. Well I thoughtlife was gooduntil I remeasured the big side which came out to 73plus change the first time I measure it using another tape. When I remeasured it with my favorite tape... I came up with69 4/8. [&:] What the heck something is wrong. Rechecked it and still 69 4/8. [:@] Grabbed the other tape I had used the first time and checked it to my favorite tape. Reads1/2" long at12". 1"long at 24"!! [:@] [:@] Compared both tapes to a ruler. My favorite tape is right on the money.

Just wanted to thank you for the above quote as it got me messing around remeasuring to find out the one tape is that far off. It will be burned!!! But in the same breathe... I hate you !![8D] Our heck of a good shed season with three sheds over 70" ( which I might add is a big deal for us since weonly have found two over 70" previously in8 years of looking) is ruined thanks to you !! None of this year's shedsmade 70" after the remeasure.[&:]

Course maybe I should save the other tape for next year's bow contest. Maybe the ruler and myfavorite tapeare off . [8D]
