My ' 02 Pat single' s finish is wearing around the grip but that' s all, probably because I can' t put it down I' ve seen other bow' s finish wearing also and I think it' s just normal wear for that type of film dipped plastic. Hand lotion, sweat and bug repellent also can cause degrading of the finish and if your hands are as rough as mine, they are like sand paper. I' ve seen Mathews bows wear in the grip area also, I had two of them for a while. It' s only new for a while. I could be wrong but I think Color Works applies the camo for a number of bow companies and I thought I read where BowTech was working on obtaining their own dipping facility. Maybe new processes will be developed soon but I haven' t seen yet a deer or target that refused to hold still because my bow showed a little experience. Love them BowTech' s!!!
