Though it sounds like a great idea, I believe it would be extremely tough to get any video by attaching a camera to the stabalizer. I know you're not looking for production quality, but even for home purposes I believe the camera would be moving too much, especially after the shot......you would have to concentrate too hard on the camera and could take away from making a clean shot.
