I do basically the exact thing except I bought some cheap rubber maid or glad containers because they are microwave proof. So if I want to dip conicals I can microwave it in the container, dip all the conicals I want, set them on some wax paper, and then let it re harden in the same container. For hunting I carry a small tin of it in a #11 container as I seldom need very much in the field if the conicals are lubed already...
I use moose milk on the patch material..
