Never used a slip on butI haveused several grind to fits decels and really like them. I find the sims does a slightly better job at cushioning but the Pachmayr's are durable and not as tacky. I wear a lot of fleece outer garments when hunting andI find the sims pad grabs it more then the pachmayr.

If your not sure aboutthe slip onor the fit isn't as good as you like another option is a Past shoulder pad for range work. They work well and allow you to shoot any gun. I have one and used it along with decel pads after shoulder surgery. It made for pleasurable shooting and even more so after the range work.
