When I use decoys, I'll generaly use 2 hens and a jake. I put the jake the closest to me, and facing me.Most times that old boss gobbler will go nose to nose with that jake,giving you time to adjust your gun if needed,as he will be facing away from you and will have a tougher time picking up any movement you might make.
