RE: swedish mauser
There is a ton of info on Swedish Mausers. Just Google "carl gustafs stads gevarsfaktori" ...your rifle was made in Germany in 1913.
I have had several Model 96 Swedes and all shot excellent. Back in the day you could buy them at gun shows for less than $100. It is whats called a small ring Mauser and if you intend to handload for it...keep loads at a moderate level. Small ring Mausers cannot handle the same pressure levels as the large ring Mausers.
Unlike most other bolt rifles, Swedes "cock on closing" as opposed to "cock on opening".
