Default Winter has taken its toll

I went out to my parents house shed hunting this past weekend and did not find a single antler.
Unfortunatly we did find 4 dead nub bucks and 2 big dead deer all on 59 acres in western Wi.
For so many finds on such small acreage this does not look good for that area of Wisconsin.
So far they recieved 108" of snow for the season and what was left just finally melted last
week.
If their is one positive we counted about 40+ deer about a mileaway in a cut corn field.
Their also was still plenty of sign around my parents land but this just seem like a high numbered
death toll. Anyone else experience something like this?
Add the road kills we encountered in that part of the state I was kind of shocked.
I also did not want to take pics because it was just gruesome and I think it was the right thing
to do.
