Within this past year, as many of you know I've owned SEVERAL different bows.

2 Ross 337's
1 Hoyt Vectrix XL
1 Browning F5 Tornado [:@]
1 Ross Cardiac (still have)
1 PSE Shark X (still have)

Many people will say, and still will continue to say, "My 33" ata bow shoots just as good as a longer one." After shooting as many bows as I have this year (not just including the ones I've owned) this is just simply NOT true. I've been shooting my Cardiac quiet a bit lately, just to practice hunting situations. It is NO WHERE as forgiving as my Shark X. Once again, probably not the fairest of comparisons, due to they are made with different ideas in mind. For me though, I think I prefer hunting bows of 36" or longer. The advantages, of a longer bow are great. I also love the string angle, and the way a longer bow feels better. The Vectrix XL, was the perfect hunting bow for me, spec wise. The Cardiac "feels" better to me, but I wish it was longer.

For me, I LOVE the specs of the 101st Airborne, and IF I was in the market for a new hunting bow, and I was choosing from anything, I would choose the 101st Airborne or the Elite XtremeXl.

What's your guy's take on this?
I think I remember someone saying that about short hunting bows.

Weren't you trying to shoot indoor with the Vectix xl? That bow is designed for hunting and is better suited in that role.

Isn't it amazing AFTER TRYING the "forgiving" bows how much you start to like them.

For 3-d I prefer them around 38" and for hunting,atleast 36".
Yeah I carried the hunting bow (Vectrix Xl) over into 3d for a couple months.

I'm liking this 38" Shark X. It seems to fit me pretty well. My next hunting bow will be 35-36" atleast.
